Alexandra Warren, LPCC

Dedicated to more than treating symptoms, my trauma-informed therapeutic approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, body-based tools, mindfulness, and play to support people in doing the deep work to address the roots of distress.

BACKGROUND
Before pursuing counseling, I spent nearly a decade in the Canadian army and special forces as an intelligence officer. During that time, I deployed to Africa and Iraq. Since leaving the military in 2017 my new mission has been to learn and share effective tools to help people heal from their past and grow.

QUALIFICATIONS
I am a graduate of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Masters program at Naropa University with specialization in Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling. I hold certifications in Internal Family Systems (IFS) Level 1 and Evolutionary Power Institute Level 2 Embodiment Coach programs. I am certified as a psychedelic-assisted therapist through the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) and the Psychedelic Research and Training Institute (PRATI). I recently graduated from Naropa's Mindfulness Instructor training, and am a Hatha and Kaula tantra yoga teacher with additional training and experience in expressive art therapy, Vipassana meditation, and energy work.

APPROACH
Today, in my clinical work with individuals, couples, and groups, I pull from an eclectic and well-equipped toolbox to help catalyze healing and thriving of the mind, body and spirit. I see therapy as a co-creative process that can look like building self-awareness, learning the language of the body, empowering inner healing intelligence, and reintegrating wounded parts to bring better balance to the system.
