About me
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
My approach is to work collaboratively with clients to meet them where they are and learn their goals and aspirations so that we can develop a plan together to overcome obstacles. I have experience and enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. My work is focused on helping individuals and families that are struggling with mood and learning disorders, anxiety, trauma, and other challenges.
I teach techniques that can be implemented to overcome current hurdles and are also transferrable to be used in the future as needs arise. I believe in the saying, “If you give a man a fish he eats for a day, but if you teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime.”
Working with individuals & families experiencing and living with health challenges and/or disabilities is of particular interest to me.
I primarily practice psychodynamic techniques, and also incorporate CBT, mindfulness, trauma focused, Family Dynamics, Family Systems, and other modalities as appropriate.
I have diverse experience working with children, families, and adults across settings including schools, homes, hospitals, long-term care facilities, family court and juvenile justice systems, as well as those involved with DHS, foster care, and the adoption process.
