About me
I am a dedicated mental health therapist, providing skills and resources to overcome depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma with compassion. What would you like to see get better in your life?
Long before I became a therapist, I knew I wanted to heal broken hearts and broken minds. I can only describe it as a calling. My first exposure to a therapy role was as a volunteer at a crisis hotline. I can tell you, there were far fewer crisis fires to put out than there were just lonely callers who needed to hear a caring voice on the other end. As one suffering women taught me when I had no means of healing her suffering, "Just be there!" This experience inspired me to pursue the counseling profession. Many years later when I began my internship as a counseling student sitting across from my first client, I knew I found my niche. It's not just that I loved this challenging work, but that I loved my clients for their originality and resilience. That was in 2011, and to this day I have never lost my love or fascination with the people from whom I sit across. Connecting with others animates my soul. I also believe that compassionate connecting gives way to healing. What I have to offer you, dear reader, is knowledge and skill in treating depression, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, relationship conflicts, anger management, and adjustment disorders. I can do all of this in English and Spanish. While I rely on my faith to inform way of being in the world, I am open to working with people of any faith or none at all. I encourage you, dear reader, to leave behind a familiar misery and risk finding an unfamiliar happiness.
