About me
Are you tired of going through life fighting off flashbacks, panic attacks, angry outbursts, or nightmares? Using your energy trying to cope or manage these symptoms is taking away from your ability to connect with the people you love, the career you enjoy, and the true person underneath it all. I can help you eliminate the painful symptoms, so you can enjoy the things you love again. I am EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT trained, and specialize in trauma specific to Veterans and First Responders. As a Therapist at True North Healing Center in Bedford, NH I strive to always meet clients where they are at, in order to help them achieve their goals.
I currently offer morning, afternoon and evening appt's, Monday-Wednesdays, for individuals 16+.
I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies/Special Education in 2015 from Fitchburg State University, and my Masters in Social Work Degree from the University of New Hampshire in 2017. I have worked in a variety of clinical and hospital settings, ranging from individual/group therapy, eating disorder programs, and the emergency room setting.
I first became interested in the field of social work when working in a residential program in Fitchburg, MA, while in undergrad, initially driving me towards a passion in working with children and adolescents. Through personal loss towards the end of my senior year, my eyes were opened to a population with a greater need: Veterans. My entire grad school career became encircled around gaining more knowledge surrounding how I could provide a service to individuals who had already given so much of themselves. I then found myself being trained in CBT, DBT, MATCH-ADTC, TF-CBT, and now EMDR. Along with working with veterans, I am also passionate in working with first responders.
I am currently EMDR Trained through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness (EMDRIA Approved) and am working towards certification.
When I’m not in the office I like to spend time with my two dogs and my partner at the lake in the summertime. I’m not a huge fan of winter, so in the winter I spend time binging TV shows and am always welcoming recommendations!
